As the the only national organization dedicated solely to improving the health and wellness of Black women and girls, Black Women’s Health Imperative have a 30+ year legacy of impact and initiative with the reputation to follow.

The Problem | Engaging Youthful Audience

With the ever-changing fabric of Black women and girls from decade to decade, BWHI contacted us for a brand refresh that would allow them to attract and engage their broad target audience ranging from age 25 to 45. The dated branding they came to us with was not communicating the energy they had behind the scenes. Simply put — BWHI was seeking to infuse the essence of this new Black Girl Magic era into their visual identity.

The Solution | Bold and Culturally Relevant

The previous branding and materials for BWHI fell very flat in this new wave of color and excitement. The bold women of BWHI were seeking a total visual identity overhaul that ranged from stationery to marketing collateral, video intros and outros to tradeshow banners, plus a new website.

What we developed for this amazing organization is vibrant, bold, and strong with a cultural pattern nuance without overdoing it. It has its own life and vitality that can applied across various platforms and mediums. This new BWHI branding establishes the organization firmly in this new era, presenting them as proud and polished yet personable.
