First Baptist Church of Locust Grove is a historically traditional church which has made a bold move by hiring a more creative pastor to help them move in a contemporary direction in order to relate to the young, diverse population that is rapidly moving into the area.
With a new, more contemporary and creative pastor entering the Church, the reimagined vision of First Baptist Church of Locust Grove was to attract younger “unchurched” individuals who want to experience an authentic, joyful and hopeful life. As the community blossoms, FBC is seeking to diversify with more ethnic groups and has a new target audience between 30-35. The previous logo and visual identity were regarded as outdated and too traditional.
Not only would First Baptist Church of Locust Grove need a new logo but they wanted to totally change the perception through branding. Everything from a name consolidation to choice of colors were important to the new pastor, but what was most important to him was the reception of church members and those that would potentially be attracted.
