4 Ways to Stay Connected with Your Customers This Holiday Season

We have entered that time of the year! Pumpkin spice has officially made its comeback and we’re all making holiday plans. This is a great opportunity to get in the holiday spirit and focus on your customers. There are many ways to show your appreciation, but here are a few we think can get the job done.

1. Have your customers send in videos of them reviewing your service.

Hopefully, you’ve helped your customers solve some tough problems this year. If that is the case, you should ask your best customers to record a video of them reviewing your services.

Video is something simple that can easily be shared online. This is not only a great way to drive brand awareness, but you can put these testimonies on your website or social media. These testimonies can let potential customers know how much of a valuable asset you are to your current customers.

In the video, you want your customers to express the satisfaction you brought to them. Having them reflect on where their business once was and what you helped develop it into. This also helps to position your company as one they are very grateful to have worked with. Testimonials are good, but video testimonials are even better. They are an interactive tool that is more effective than static text on a page.

2. Send your customers a packaged gift.

Please don’t send your customers a generic holiday card from Walmart! When you send your customers something for the holidays, your logo should be present with the gift. We recommend sending a custom-designed gift they will use quite often so that it will provide a constant reminder of your business. This can be a coffee mug, a mousepad, or a calendar. Think creatively when it comes to the type of gift you want to send.

When your customers receive this gift, not only will they be glad you thought of them during the holidays, but it also serves as a great marketing tool. Last year, we sent our customers a candle that our Juicers hand-poured and we also designed the label on the candle. Picture this:

Hey Bill, where did you get that awesome holiday candle? Oh this? The creative agency I use, Creative Juice, sent this to me over the holidays. Man, I love how great they treat their clients.

Just by sending this small gift, covered in your business’s packaging design, your clients now have the opportunity to brag about the great customer service your business provides.

3. Offer an exclusive holiday sale.

It’s the holidays, so why not treat your customers to some savings? You can share a sale through your website or reach your customers directly with an email marketing campaign specifically designed to entice them to make a purchase. This is an easy way to capitalize on the end-of-year spending. Before you do this though, you want to make sure your website and emails are optimized to be accessible on mobile devices. Studies show that 61% of users will leave a site if it is not mobile friendly. If your site or email newsletter isn’t mobile-friendly, you’re losing business.

4. Have a customer appreciation event.

Your customers support your business, so it is only right that you show them some love over the holidays. Invite your customers to your office to enjoy a holiday party. Where you supply light bites or drinks. While they are there, have some presentations set up displaying what is to come in the new year. This can be a new eBook, a new training class, or anything else you have been developing for the new year. You can also give away a packaged gift like we mentioned previously.

The goal is to get your customers excited about what your business has in store for the new year. Put a countdown in their head about when your new product or service will be available. Now they will be anxiously thinking about how you are working to take their business to another level.

Aren’t the holidays a great time of the year? You now have four ways that will help your customers better enjoy your business during the holidays, which will make this time of year even greater. We hope you implement these steps and enjoy the cheer they bring to your business over the holidays.
