#DoingItForTheCulture: Happy Black History Month!
Happy Black History Month! It’s hard to limit the celebration of Black History to one month, but at Creative Juice, it holds a special significance. As a Black and female owned firm, we recognize that we have the ability to even be a Black-owned business because of the battles of those that came before us. We are proud to use our platform to represent diversity and inclusion, not only amplifying our Juicers’ voices, but supporting other Black-owned businesses as well. Amplifying their voices and supporting their visions is an honor, and we are proud to represent Black-owned businesses who are using their voices to disrupt the norm. So, to celebrate Black History Month the Juicer way, we’re highlighting a few of our Black-owned business clients who are using their voice to take up space and revolutionize their industries.
The Underbelly Yoga
The lack of representation in the yoga world is what inspired yogi Jessamyn Stanley to create The Underbelly Yoga Studio. Jessamyn uses her voice to encourage BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ to explore yoga to express themselves and live authentically without apology. Her brand is about celebrating our differences, being honest and genuine, and building a community for everyone. We had the pleasure of designing The Underbelly’s website, choosing visual elements that helped her reflect her vision and connect with her audience. The Underbelly’s mission to empower underrepresented audiences in the wellness industry has really inspired us to keep pushing forward and taking up space. Jessamyn and The Underbelly demonstrates the importance of having the courage to inspire and uplift others, just like those who paved the way before us did. My Pride Apparel
To be proud of who you are is a gift, and My Pride Apparel is making sure all Black people can be unapologetically proud of who they are. My Pride Apparel’s merch is more than just shirts and hats – they are ways to help Black individuals express their pride to themselves and to the world. To make sure their business gets the recognition it deserves, My Pride Apparel tapped into Creative Juice’s services for SEO strategy to get them (and keep them) on the first page of Google. We also amped up their digital marketing and created Instagram, Facebook, and Google Ads to reach a wider audience. My Pride Apparel has reached people all over the nation, connecting them with shirts, hats, hoodies, and more that gives Black people of all ages a way to wear their pride on their sleeves. Battle Law, P.C.
To have the privilege to help a brilliant mind rebuild and rebrand is truly a privilege. Founding Attorney and President Michèle Battle approached Creative Juice to reconceive her digital presence and branding for her Zoning & Permitting firm Battle Law P.C. We are currently still in the building stages for her website, collaborating with Michèle every step of the way to make sure her vision and mission is conveyed in the best way possible. To read about her brilliance and experience is nothing short of amazing. Michèle Battle, Esq. has over 30 years of experience in the Zoning Law & Permitting space, she served on the Executive Committee for the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Georgia, she was received recognition in the Atlanta Tribunes’ Who’s Who in Black Atlanta in 2002, and the list of her accomplishments doesn’t stop there. We are excited about completing her project and making her vision come to life.
These are just some of the examples of how our clients have inspired us this Black History Month. These few examples are just some of the ways that our clients inspire us with their #BlackExcellence, and we are truly honored to be in their company. As Black History Month comes to a close, we know that the impact Black-Owned businesses have will continue. Here at Creative Juice, we are proud to be a part of that progress. Far beyond this month, we will continue in our dedication to amplify Black voices and be pillars for diversity and inclusion in our own organization as well as supporting our clients. We are proud to be representatives of the culture, and we hope to pay it forward and inspire those who come after us. 🍑
